Before you start, lay out all the pieces and compare them to the parts list in the assembly instructions. Label each part with a sticky note if needed to avoid confusion.
Choose a spacious, flat area where you have enough room to move around the desk components. Cover the floor with a blanket or cardboard to protect it from scratches.
Carefully align the legs or frame with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the desktop. Use the appropriate screws and tighten them gradually, alternating between screws to ensure even distribution of pressure.
Most L-shaped desks use metal brackets or plates to join the two sections. Align the sections according to the instructions and secure the brackets with screws. Ensure the connection is stable and flush.
Double-check that youre using the correct parts and orientation. If the holes are slightly misaligned, you may be able to gently wiggle the pieces into place while tightening the screws. If the misalignment is significant, contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Utilize cable management solutions like zip ties, cable trays, or adhesive clips to bundle and route cables neatly. Many L-shaped desks also come with built-in cable management features like grommets or channels.
